Python web apps

13 tutorials

The two best-known tutorials here are good first projects. Build a Microblog with Flask is Miguel Grinberg's Flask Mega-Tutorial, a long, regularly updated series that grows a small Twitter-like app with templates, forms, a database, user logins, email and deployment. Create a Blog Web App In Django is the Django Girls tutorial, written for complete beginners, which builds and deploys a simple blog. Build A Simple Web App With Flask is a shorter alternative.

For testing, Build a Todo List with Django and Test-Driven Development points to Obey the Testing Goat, Harry Percival's free online book on TDD with Python. For APIs, try Create A Django API in under 20 minutes, Build a RESTful Microservice in Python, and freeCodeCamp's Creating APIs with Python course, which is a long video. Microservices with Docker, Flask, and React from testdriven.io is the most advanced, covering containers, testing and deployment.

Other projects: a realtime chat app with Vue, django-notifs, RabbitMQ and uWSGI (6 parts), a community-driven delivery app with Django and Postgres (2 parts), Twilio's Choose Your Own Adventure Presentations, a Flask todo list on RethinkDB, and Build Your First Streamlit Data App from the official Streamlit docs.
